Bayard Announces Winners of 2009 Holiday Card Contest

The Bayard 2009 Holiday Card Contest was a success. We received 20 entries this year. “Snow Globe,” submitted by John DeLeon–a 13 year old student at The Pilot School, was awarded first place and received $500.  Second place was awarded to Joe del Tufo, a photographer and partner at Mobius New Media, for his submission “Twinkle.”

The Pilot School began in 1957 as an educational experiment.  The innovative program proved so successful that teachers and partners soon recognized that this “pilot” program must become a school. Pilot has grown into a teacher-designed facility with 50 staff members annually educating approximately 160 students, ages 5-14 years old.  For more information about The Pilot School, please visit their website.
