Bayard Attorneys Attend the American Bankruptcy Institute's Mid-Atlantic Bankruptcy Workshop

Bayard Attorneys and attended the 6th Annual American Bankruptcy Institute's Mid-Atlantic Workshop in Cambridge, MD from August 5-7, 2010. The conference was attended by over 200 restructuring professionals, primarily from the Mid-Atlantic region. Neil Glassman served as a member of the Advisory Board.

The Workshop featured topics related to changes in corporate bankruptcy due to the current economic climate. The Advisory Board selected speakers to discuss inter-creditor issues; receiverships; structured conversions and other remedies; leveraged buyouts; trends in financing; rule 2019 issues; bankruptcy appellate issues; financial advisory issues in Chapter 11; and, quick sales and credit bids.

The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) is the largest multi-disciplinary, non-partisan organization dedicated to research and education on matters related to insolvency. ABI was founded in 1982 to provide Congress and the public with unbiased analysis of bankruptcy issues. The ABI membership includes more than 12,000 attorneys, auctioneers, bankers, judges, lenders, professors, turnaround specialists, accountants and other bankruptcy professionals providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information. In fulfillment of its mission to provide information to its members, journalists, Congress and the public, ABI is engaged in numerous educational and research activities, as well as the production of a number of publications both for the insolvency practitioner and the public.
