Bayard Welcomes Attorney GianClaudio Finizio
Bayard, a Wilmington law firm with a significant corporate and commercial business practice, is pleased to welcome back to the firm GianClaudio (JC) Finizio, associate attorney.
Finizio concentrates his practice counseling companies on mergers and acquisitions including assisting in structuring, negotiating and documenting transactions; general corporate and business law matters; corporate governance issues; and providing legal opinions on provisions of Delaware law relating to corporate transactions including debt and equity financings. At Bayard, in addition to continuing to practice in these areas, Finizio also will focus on insurance matters including advising insurance companies regarding their regulation by the Insurance Commissioner of Delaware and changes in their ownership or control.

In 2002, Finizio joined Bayard as an associate where he gained significant experience in the areas of corporate bankruptcy and commercial litigation. Prior to practicing law, he gained extensive experience in the corporate sector where he served for six years as a business analyst in the Health, Safety and Environment Department of Basell USA Inc., supporting North American manufacturing and research and development facilities. In this role he assisted in the management of product regulatory activities, and environmental, toxicological, health and safety, and industrial hygiene matters. While attending law school, he was a member of Basell’s law department assisting with litigation and corporate governance matters.
Finizio is admitted to practice law in Delaware, as well as in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. He is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Outside of Bayard, Finizio is a member of the Board of Directors of Variety – The Children’s Charity (Delaware Division), the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia, and ALMA - Associazione Italiana LL.M. He also is Guardian ad litem for the Office of the Child Advocate of Delaware.
