Evan T. Miller, an associate in Bayard, P.A.’s Bankruptcy Group, recently attended the three-day Turnaround Management Association Annual Conference in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The 26th annual session of this conference, held September 29 through October 1, featured prominent bankruptcy attorneys, judges, and financial advisors from across the country and offered multiple education sessions. TMA’s NextGen committee also sponsored events specifically tailored to younger practitioners in the turnaround industry.
The Turnaround Management Association (TMA) is a global non-profit organization comprised of turnaround and corporate renewal professionals with more than 9,300 members in 49 chapters including 31 in North America. TMA’s stated mission is to serve as a forum for corporate renewal professionals from all disciplines to promote high standards of practice, foster professional development, and enhance the image of TMA members.
TMA NextGen provides networking, education and career development opportunities and resources at both the national and chapter level for those who are in the early stages of their careers in the turnaround and corporate renewal industry. Evan serves as an executive board member of the Philadelphia NextGen chapter.
Evan, with Bayard since 2009, is also active on the executive boards of several other professional associations, including the Delaware Bankruptcy American Inn of Court, the American Bar Association, and the Delaware State Bar Association.
