Evan Miller Attends 2017 Celebration of Excellence Event at the Supreme Court of the United States

On October 21, 2017, Bayard’s Evan T. Miller attended the American Inns of Court’s Celebration of Excellence, an event held annually at the Supreme Court of the United States in Washington, DC.  The evening honored individuals who contributed their time, energy, and resources to furthering the ideals of the American Inns of Court (“AIC”).  The Honorable Elena Kagan hosted the 2017 Celebration of Excellence event.

Evan was selected to attend the black-tie affair on behalf of the Delaware Bankruptcy Inn of Court (“DBIC”), of which he is an executive board member.  The DBIC is located in Wilmington, Delaware and is open to all members of the Delaware Bar who practice in the areas of commercial and consumer bankruptcy law.  The DBIC has won multiple awards throughout its existence; including this year’s “Platinum” designation for meeting the AIC’s high standards of excellence.

The AIC is one of the fastest growing legal organizations in the country.  Since its inception in 1982, its mission is to foster excellence in professionalism, ethics, civility, and legal skills.  Today, there are more than 30,000 judges and lawyers actively participating in an Inn of Court and over 100,000 judges and lawyers who are alumni of an Inn.  There are also more than 150 accredited law schools participating with one or more Inns in some capacity.

Evan, a bankruptcy attorney with Bayard since 2009, remains active in several other professional associations, including Turnaround Management Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Philadelphia Bar Association. Evan is also the creator of the Avoidance Action Update Blog at avoidanceactionupdate.bayardlaw.com.
