Bayard Director Marla H. Norton recently participated in the Harvard Negotiation Intensive, a two-day workshop for executives and legal professionals held as part of the Harvard Negotiation Institute at Harvard Law School and sponsored by the Program on Negotiation.  The workshop, attended by participants from private industry, the nonprofit sector and law firms from 12 countries, focused on core issues in business and legal negotiations, including multiparty, complex negotiations and situations involving difficult people and behaviors.

Founded in 1983 as a special research project at Harvard Law School, the Program on Negotiation is a consortium program that includes faculty and staff from Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Tufts University.  The Harvard Negotiation Institute is held in June each year.
