Evan T. Miller’s Article on Preference Actions Published in the ABI’s Young & New Members Committee Newsletter

Evan T. Miller

Evan Thomas Miller, a bankruptcy associate at Bayard, recently wrote an article on preference actions that was published in the American Bankruptcy Institute’s (“ABI”) Young & New Members Committee Newsletter. The article, which broadly outlines the elements of bankruptcy preference actions and the most common defenses to them, is part of a “Bankruptcy Basics” initiative being spearheaded by the ABI Young & New Members Committee. The initiative is designed to give new bankruptcy practitioners practical yet accessible breakdowns of core bankruptcy topics. A copy of Evan’s article can be found here.

The ABI is the largest multi-disciplinary, non-partisan organization dedicated to research and education on matters related to insolvency. It is also the nation’s leading provider of quality bankruptcy educational programs. Its Young & New Members Committee encourages the active involvement of young bankruptcy practitioners.

Evan, who has been with Bayard since 2009, has been an active participant in the Young & New Members Committee. Additionally, he serves as an executive committee member in several professional associations, including Turnaround Management Association NextGen’s Philadelphia Chapter, the Delaware Bankruptcy American Inn of Court, the Delaware State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section, the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Committee, among others.
