Steve Brauerman Presents at Seminar on Judgment Enforcement in Delaware

Stephen B. Brauerman (“Steve”), a director at Bayard, P.A., served as a presenter at the Judgment Enforcement in Delaware seminar in Claymont, Delaware, conducted by Lorman Education Services on August 19, 2014.  The seminar addressed issues that arise in the course of obtaining and enforcing judgments in Delaware.  Steve addressed three topics: Obtaining a Judgment in Delaware (addressing issues such as contents of a complaint, service of process, and discovery), Enforcement of Judgments in Delaware (discussing issues such as post-judgment discovery, Delaware exemptions, and receiver appointments), and Settlement (explaining negotiating strategy and settlement agreements and releases).

Steve focuses his practice in the areas of corporate, commercial and intellectual property litigation in Delaware’s state and federal courts.  Steve has litigated a wide array of cases involving fiduciary duty claims, corporate and alternative entity control disputes, and advancement and indemnification, breach of contract, antitrust, securities, patent infringement, copyright infringement and trademark matters.

Steve has been ranked by Chambers & Partners in the areas of Chancery and Intellectual Property Litigation and listed in Delaware Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Intellectual Property Litigation.  Steve also serves the legal community as Vice-Chair of the Limited Liability Companies, Partnerships, and Alternative Entities Subcommittee of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association; Barrister in the Richard S. Rodney American Inn of Court; and Vice President of the Delaware Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
