Kara M. Swasey, a Director at Bayard, P.A. was recently elected to the Board of Directors of Delaware Volunteer Legal Services (DVLS).  Kara, who has served as a volunteer attorney for the organization for a number of years, will now assume additional responsibilities for DVLS as a member of the Board.

DVLS has served the community for over 30 years, providing legal services indigent residents in Delaware.  Kara notes, “The provision of quality pro bono legal services is an important tradition of the Delaware bar.  I am happy to serve on the Board of Directors for DVLS and to assist in the important mission of helping all Delawareans have equal access to justice in civil matters”.

In addition to her work with DVLS, Kara serves as a volunteer for the Domestic Violence Advocacy Program, the Federal Re-entry Legal Assistance Program, and the Office of the Child Advocate.  She concentrates her practice at Bayard in family law matters.
