Three Bayard Attorneys Named Finalists to Lawdragon’s “500 Leading Lawyers in America” List
Bayard is pleased to announce that Charlene Davis, Douglas Hershman and Jeffrey Schlerf have been named as finalists to Lawdragon's "500 Leading Lawyers in America" list, one of the most prestigious guides to the legal profession, representing less than one percent of all lawyers nationwide. The list is featured in Lawdragon's December 2007 issue.
The Bayard attorneys are among 2,500 finalists who were chosen from more than 20,000 attorneys nominated by their peers and the Lawdragon editorial staff for the list. The finalists are selected based not only on the quantity of votes an individual receives, but also on the quality of the votes - giving stronger weight, for example, "to the vote of a corporate counsel than to a partner in the nominee's firm," according to Lawdragon. Recent cases and activity is also factored into the selection process, which aims to reflect geographic and practice diversity, in addition to lawyer excellence.

Jeffrey's clients include debtors, creditors' committees, trustees, secured and unsecured creditors, purchasers and litigants in federal and state courts.
