Vanessa R. Tiradentes is an associate at Bayard. Vanessa focuses her practice in the areas of corporate governance in the Delaware Court of Chancery, commercial litigation in the Delaware Superior Court, and intellectual property litigation in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. She has experience assisting clients with breach of fiduciary duty claims, business divorces, control disputes, breach of contract cases, advancement and indemnification claims, and books and records requests. Vanessa has been recognized by Super Lawyers magazine as a 2016 Delaware Rising Star in the practice area of business litigation.
Vanessa actively participates in the Delaware Hispanic Bar Association (“DHBA”) and the Hispanic National Bar Association (“HNBA”). She was appointed Deputy General Counsel of the HNBA for the 2014-2015 term, serves as the Delaware Hispanic Bar Association Affiliate Representative to the HNBA, and is currently President of the DHBA.
In addition, Vanessa is one of two Bayard member contacts for Meritas, an invitation only international alliance of over 175 business law firms located in over 80 countries of which Bayard is the only Delaware member.
Before joining Bayard in 2009, Vanessa graduated from Hofstra University School of Law. While in law school, Vanessa served as Managing Editor of Production of the Journal of International Business and Law. In 2008, she was awarded a summer clerkship from the ABA Section of Business Law Diversity Clerkship Program and clerked for Vice Chancellor Donald F. Parsons, Jr. of the Delaware Court of Chancery. Prior to law school, Vanessa graduated with a B.A. in Latin American Studies from Harvard College. Vanessa is fluent in Portuguese.
