Bayard Firm Contributes Single-Largest Donation Ever Received by Endowment Fund

The Bayard Firm agreed to make a $50,000 contribution to the American Bankruptcy Institute Endowment Fund—representing the largest single gift ever contributed to the Endowment Fund—in celebration of the firm’s 50th anniversary in 2008. The Bayard Firm’s contribution will be recognized during a ceremony at ABI’s Annual Spring Meeting.

“Bayard is very pleased to celebrate its 50th Anniversary by contributing to the ABI Endowment Fund,” said Charlene D. Davis, a director with Bayard. “The Endowment Fund promotes education, research and new perspectives in the evolving field of bankruptcy law. Bayard’s gift to the Fund reflects the firm’s continuing professional commitment to the Fund’s goals and to constant improvement in the administration of justice.”

Bayard’s Bankruptcy Group is led by ABI members Neil B. Glassman (chair), Ms. Davis, Jeffrey M. Schlerf and Ashley B. Stitzer, each a director of the firm. Three other associates are also ABI members: Eric M. Sutty, Mary E. Augustine and Kathryn D. Sallie. The Group handles all phases of the reorganization or liquidation of troubled companies, including out-of-court workouts.

The Bayard Firm was among 20 firms and individual members recognized at the Annual Spring Meeting for significant contributions to the Endowment during the first quarter of 2008.
