Alberto, members of the firm’s bankruptcy practice, attended Jefferies’ Restructuring Group’s 13th Annual Chinese New Year Event in New York City on Thursday, January 23rd. The invitation-only event, took place at TAO Restaurant in midtown Manhattan. Guests included bankers, lenders, traders, hedge fund managers, attorneys and other restructuring experts. This year, attendees celebrated the year of the horse, which Chinese zodiac says should bring prosperity in financial matters – specifically, according to Jefferies, for China’s capital markets, which are expected to begin a multi-year bull run.
Jefferies Restructuring Group, part of the company’s investment banking arm, provides financing and advisory solutions to corporate clients and financial sponsors in bankruptcy situations. Bayard has worked with Jefferies on a number of cases in the past, including the bankruptcy cases of Accuride Corporation, Visteon Corporation, and Federal-Mogul Corp.
