Bayard Attorneys Named 2008 Super Lawyers

Bayard Law is pleased to announce that three Bayard directors are recognized in the 2008 Delaware SuperLawyers. The 124 Delaware attorneys listed in the 2008 SuperLawyers represent approximately five percent of all practicing attorneys in the state of Delaware. Charlene D. Davis, Bankruptcy and Creditor and Debtor Rights; Douglas M. Hershman, Real Estate; and Jeffrey M. Schlerf, Bankruptcy and Creditor and Debtor Rights, Business Litigation, and Alternative Dispute Resolution were recognized as SuperLawyers. Each of these attorneys has been named Delaware SuperLawyers in previous years.

“My partners, Charlene Davis and Doug Hershman, and I are humbled by this recognition. It is quite an honor again to be named among the Delaware Super Lawyers,” said Jeffrey M. Schlerf, Chairman of Bayard. “Our firm, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, is committed to providing top notch advice and service to our clients in all of our practice areas, and recognition such as this along the way makes the practice of law even more worthwhile. We congratulate our peers at other Delaware firms for being similarly honored.”

Charlene D. Davis, recently elected Vice Chairman of the Bankruptcy Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association, focuses her practice on bankruptcy creditors’ rights and commercial litigation. Davis regularly represents creditors, creditors’ committees, trustees and debtors in large bankruptcy cases.

Douglas M. Hershman conducts a diverse law practice in real estate throughout Delaware and the surrounding states representing both buyers and sellers of commercial and residential properties, borrowers in financing transactions, and lenders making commercial real estate loans. He also is a licensed issuing agent for several national title insurance companies.

Jeffrey M. Schlerf, Chairman of Bayard, focuses his practice in the areas of commercial bankruptcy, restructurings, insolvencies, liquidations, loan workouts, commercial litigation and mediation. Schlerf’s clients include debtors, creditors’ committees, trustees, secured and unsecured creditors, purchasers and litigants in federal and state courts.

The 2008 Delaware SuperLawyers is published in the June 2008 issue of Philadelphia Magazine.
