Bayard business restructuring attorneys GianClaudio Finizio, Colin Robinson, Justin Alberto and Evan Miller are participating as Team Bayard in the Cycle for Survival fundraiser in New York City on February 12, 2011.
Founded in 2007 by Jennifer Goodman Linn, Cycle for Survival is the indoor team cycling fundraiser that has raised more than $4.5 million in support of research on rare cancers at Memorial Sloan-Kettering. Each year, thousands of cyclists team up with friends, family, and coworkers in the ride against cancer in New York City, Chicago, and at satellite events around the world.
Cycle for Survival funds are allocated to the most promising research and clinical trials at MSK within six months of each event, dramatically reducing the time it takes for donations to become research discoveries – and then better treatments for cancer patients. This acceleration can make a crucial difference for patients battling rare cancers. As well, early support for promising new projects makes them eligible for much larger grants from government agencies and other sources, which means that each dollar provided by Cycle for Life can bring forth literally ten times that amount – and sometimes more.
