The 2011 Delaware Bankers Association Trust Conference themed "The Leader of the Pack" will highlight many of the ways Delaware law makes it a favored domicile for trusts. The only conference to focus specifically on Delaware trusts, both personal and statutory, the conference attracts bankers, attorneys, CPAs and financial services professionals from around the country. Continuing a history of Bayard attorneys speaking at the conference, this year both Steven R. Director and Trisha W. Hall will serve as panelists. Additionally, Bayard is a silver sponsor of the conference.

Steve will provide insight as a seasoned trust and estates attorney, who represents both trustees and beneficiaries, on a panel that includes The Honorable Vice-Chancellor Glasscock of the Delaware Court of Chancery, and The Honorable Robert Glen, the State Bank Commissioner. The panel will explore, through several case studies, the balance between the trustee's obligations and the beneficiary's rights in a variety of personal trust situations.

Trisha will provide the perspective of the estates and trusts attorney on the panel "Who Is Working in Captive Insurance And What Are They Doing?" intended to educate the trust community on basic structure of a captive insurance transaction and show interested service providers what roles they could potentially fill.
