Bayard Selected as Co-Counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Frederick’s of Hollywood, Inc., et al.
Bayard has been selected to serve as co-counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors (the “Committee”) in In re Frederick’s of Hollywood, Inc., et al. (Case No. 15-10836 (KG)) filed on April 19, 2015 in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. The office of the United States Trustee formed the Committee on April 28, 2015. After its formation, the Committee chose Cooley LLP and Bayard, P.A. as its legal counsel. Bayard attorney Justin R. Alberto is responsible for the representation.
Frederick’s of Hollywood is a retailer of women’s apparel and related products, including foundations and accessories. The brand can be traced back to 1946, when Frederick Mellinger started a mail order catalog offering various lines of lingerie. From its beginnings, the Frederick’s of Hollywood brand gained popularity, and, by the 1950’s, was modeled by several Hollywood icons, including Betty Page. At its height, Frederick’s of Hollywood operated over 200 retail stores across the United States. This is the company’s second trip through the chapter 11 process.
