Bayard’s Charlene Davis Serves as Mentor for 2017 Federal Trial Practice Seminar

Charlene D. Davis, a director and chair of  Bayard’s Executive and Marketing Committees, is one of three Delaware attorneys invited by the United States District Court and the Delaware Chapter of the Federal Bar Association to serve as  a mentor for the 2017 Federal Trial Practice Seminar.  The Seminar is a multi-week instructional trial practice program for lawyers with fewer than 10 years of practice experience who are interested in regularly appearing in the District of Delaware.  It has two primary goals.  First, it seeks to provide the participants with a venue in which to practice federal trial skills and learn from experienced practitioners.  Second, it offers the Court an opportunity to educate the participants on the expectations of the District Court with regard to attorneys appearing before it.  This year’s program began with an introductory reception and will continue on a weekly basis into the month of May.

Charlene is an experienced federal litigator, having practiced for 32 years in Delaware’s federal courts.   Her current focus is commercial bankruptcy, including litigation.   She has also appeared in the District Court as an Assistant United States Attorney, commercial litigator, and federal  criminal defense attorney.
