Curtis Bounds Selected to Lawdragon 500 Leading Family Lawyers Guide
Wilmington, Delaware- Bayard, P.A., a Meritas™ member law firm based in Wilmington, Delaware, announced today that Curtis P. Bounds was selected for inclusion in the 2020 Lawdragon 500 Leading Family Lawyers guide.
For 15 years, Lawdragon has selected its list of 500 Leading Lawyers in America in various practice areas. The Family 500 is the first guide of its kind by any publisher of lawyer lists. Those selected to the list are selected “through submissions, journalistic research, and editorial vetting from a board of legal peers”. Upon conclusion of their extensive research, they release the names of the 500 of the “nation’s best advisors for divorce, separation, asset division, and custody issues.” Curtis is the only Delaware lawyer selected to the 2020 guide, highlighting the best in family law.
Curtis is a director at Bayard where he is the head of the Family Law practice. For almost three decades, Curtis has focused his practice on family law matters and practices in the Delaware Family Court in New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties. He concentrates his experience in complex divorce and child custody cases. Curtis is a volunteer for the Office of the Child Advocate, representing children who are abused, neglected or dependent, and he is trained in Alternative Dispute Resolution as a mediator. He is also the Chair of the Delaware Family Law Commission, the only Legislative Commission in Delaware, and whose members are appointed by the Leaders of the Delaware State House and Senate. Curtis was recently named a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He is currently the only active attorney Fellow in Delaware.
