Evan T. Miller Speaks at 2014 Delaware Supreme Court Pre-Admission Conference on Behalf of the Delaware State Bar Association

Miller 186

Evan T. Miller, an attorney with Bayard’s bankruptcy group, recently spoke to attorneys who passed the 2014 Delaware Bar Examination at the Supreme Court Pre-Admission Conference (the “Conference”).  Evan, the Chairman of the Delaware State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section (“DSBA-YLS”), discussed the conferees’ DSBA-YLS membership, its benefits and participation in the section.

The Conference was held at Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware.  It is a two-day program on fundamentals of practice in Delaware.  Attendance is mandatory before attorneys who have passed the bar exam may be sworn in by the Delaware Supreme Court.  A total of 121 individuals passed the Delaware Bar Examination this year.

The DSBA-YLS provides opportunities for attorneys to acclimate to the practice of law in Delaware, meet new colleagues, and learn about Delaware State Bar Association activities.  It sponsors informative seminars relevant to new attorneys, provides resources to establish roots in the legal community, and promotes collegiality through a variety of social gatherings in all three Delaware counties.  Evan is the Chairman of the DSBA-YLS for the 2014-2015 term.

Evan has been with Bayard since 2009. He is active on the executive boards of several other professional associations, including the Delaware Bankruptcy American Inn of Court, Turnaround Management Association, and the American Bar Association.
