Kara Swasey to Speak at 2018 Bench and Bar Conference

Wilmington, DE- On Friday,  June 15, 2018, Kara M. Swasey, a director in Bayard’s family law group, is scheduled to speak at the Delaware State Bar Association’s (DSBA) annual Bench and Bar Conference.  The panel discussion titled Meeting the Challenges of Domestic Violence in Custody Cases, will cover topics including considerations for  victims of domestic violence who are seeking custody, the Court’s approach to making decisions after a finding of domestic violence, and the greatest challenges in these cases. Kara will participate with other panelists including The Honorable Jennifer B.Ranji, The Honorable Mary S. Much and The Honorable James G. McGiffin, Jr. of the Family Court of the State of Delaware, Ellie Torres and Kelly Enslin, Esquire.

The Bench and Bar Conference will take place at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, Delaware and will offer a wide range of continuing legal education sessions for lawyers and judges from all over the state.
