Two Bayard Attorneys Selected as The Best Lawyers in America® 2008
Bayard's Neil B. Glassman and Richard D. Kirk have been named to the 2008 edition of "The Best Lawyers in America." Neil was recognized as a leader in Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law while Richard was recognized as a leader in Environmental Law. Both were also named to the guide in previous years.
The impressive body of work from Mr. Glassman and Mr. Kirk landed them in the current fourteenth edition of the "Best Lawyers in America" list, which is compiled through an exhaustive peer-review survey in which thousands of the top lawyers in the U.S. confidentially evaluate their professional peers. The list is based on more than 1.5 million detailed evaluations of lawyers by other lawyers and represents 80 specialties in all 50 states and Washington, DC. Lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee for a basic listing, according to the publication.
Neil is a director and shareholder with Bayard, and leads the Bankruptcy Group. He focuses his practice on bankruptcy and insolvency law, and regularly represents debtors, official committees of unsecured creditors, insurance companies, and creditors in large bankruptcy cases, insurance insolvencies and other insolvency proceedings.
Richard, also a director and shareholder at the Firm, focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, environmental litigation and counseling, and alternative dispute resolution. He is a past president of the Delaware State Bar Association and he was the founding chair of the Delaware State Bar's Environmental Law Section.
