Bayard Director Peter Ladig Attends Harvard Law School Executive Education “Mediating Disputes” Course

Wilmington, Delaware—Bayard, P.A. announced today that director and co-chair of its litigation practice, Peter B. Ladig, has completed the Mediating Disputes course offered by the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School’s Executive Education program.  The Harvard Law School Program on Negotiation describes the Mediating Disputes course as an “intensive five-day program” that will provide attendees with “core mediation skills, training, and hands-on experience across a variety of situations.”  The course includes “interactive discussions, exercises, and simulations … and an examination of the psychological dimensions of the mediation process.”  The course teaches a non-caucus model of mediation, “which elevates the importance of understanding and interest-based bargaining, in shaping mediated settlements.”

Pete concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate governance and commercial litigation, business divorce, stockholder litigation, fiduciary duties, partnership and limited liability company disputes, and class action and derivative litigation.

Pete also has extensive experience in the growing area of the “business divorce,” particularly requests for judicial dissolution of limited liability companies and corporations.

Even before attending the Mediating Disputes course, Pete had mediated several corporate and commercial disputes.  In addition, Pete also serves as a Special Master or Discovery Facilitator for the Court of Chancery and provides other forms of alternative dispute resolution to parties in corporate and commercial disputes.
