Steve and Brett are highlighted as Benchmark Litigation Stars and Jason is highlighted as a Benchmark Litigation Future Star.  Bayard was again recognized as a Recommended Firm in Delaware.

Steve concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate, commercial and intellectual property litigation in Delaware’s state and federal courts.  Steve currently serves as Special Master appointed by the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, where he oversees highly complex litigation matters—facilitating discovery, resolving pretrial disputes, issuing reports and recommendations, and mediating conflicts as directed by the Court or agreed upon by the parties. He has also been appointed Receiver by the Delaware Court of Chancery. A veteran litigator and an experienced neutral, Steve offers a strong background both advocating for clients and helping them resolve disputes in mediation.

Jason concentrates his practice on corporate, alternative entity, and commercial litigation. He primarily represents members and managers of LLCs, officers and directors of corporations, and companies in high-stakes litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery, Delaware Superior Court, Delaware Supreme Court, and United States District Court for the District of Delaware. Additionally, Jason handles arbitrations governed by the AAA Commercial Arbitration Rules, including cases governed by the Procedures for Large, Complex Commercial Disputes. He has led litigation teams in disputes involving mergers and acquisitions, corporate and LLC control issues, judicial dissolution, and complex commercial arrangements.

Brett specializes in corporate governance and complex commercial litigation, stockholder litigation, fiduciary duties, alternative entity disputes, class action, and derivative litigation. He represents stockholders, directors and officers in litigation in the Court of Chancery in a variety of matters, including fiduciary duty disputes, claims regarding the election of directors, demands for appraisal, dissolution, advancement of legal fees and expenses, and requests for inspection of corporate books and records.  Brett also advises and represents corporations and board committees involving claims and issues arising out of Delaware’s General Corporation Law.  Brett represents financial advisors and investment banks in connection with litigation involving mergers and acquisitions and other transactions.
