Steve Brauerman Serves as Panelist at the DSBA's Best Practices in Mediation, Arbitration and Special Masters Proceedings CLE

Bayard Director, Steve Brauerman recently served as a panelist at the Delaware State Bar Association's Best Practices in Mediation, Arbitration and Special Masters Proceedings CLE.  The CLE covered mediation contract clauses, the different types of mediators that could be selected, and preparations for mediation, including ethical considerations such as conflicts of interest, biases, and unfair advantage, analysis of mediation before and during litigation and best practices for concluding a mediation.

Steve Brauerman is a member of the Firm's Litigation, Intellectual Property and Business ADR practice groups. He concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate, commercial and intellectual property litigation in Delaware’s state and federal courts.  Steve currently serves as Special Master appointed by the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, where he oversees highly complex litigation matters—facilitating discovery, resolving pretrial disputes, issuing reports and recommendations, and mediating conflicts as directed by the Court or agreed upon by the parties. He has also been appointed Receiver by the Delaware Court of Chancery. A veteran litigator and an experienced neutral, Steve offers a strong background both advocating for clients and helping them resolve disputes in mediation.
