Biography
Rachel is an associate in Bayard's Litigation Department. She has represented clients in corporate and commercial cases before the Superior Court of Delaware, the Delaware Court of Chancery, and the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
Rachel's litigation work often involves M&A transactions, employee non-compete and non-solicitation obligations, breach of contract, and fiduciary duty disputes.
Prior to joining Bayard, Rachel was an associate in a Wilmington, DE based law firm. In addition, she gained valuable experience as a law clerk to the Honorable Abigial M. LeGrow of the Superior Court of Delaware, now Justice LeGrow of the Delaware Supreme Court, and as a judicial extern to the Honorable Henry Van Eck of the US Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. In 2024, Rachel joined the Complex Commercial Litigation Division’s Rules Committee as one of only two associate members. She has been recognized in Delaware Super Lawyers as a Rising Star for business litigation and maintains an active pro bono practice, receiving the Pro Bono Award for 2025 for her work at her previous law firm.
Rachel received her B.S. with honors from Auburn University and graduated cum laude in 2021 from Penn State Dickinson Law. While in law school, Rachel served as comments editor of the Dickinson Law Review and as a teaching assistant for legal writing courses. She also competed in the 1L Mock Trial Championship, where she was awarded first place. At law school graduation, she was honored to be voted by her peers to serve as the JD Commencement Speaker.
